Strategic Partner: Susan Shearouse
Ms. Shearouse, well known for her work in the conflict resolution field, has provided facilitation, mediation, technical assistance and training in conflict resolution processes to organizations and individuals through her own firm, Frameworks for Agreement, since 1989. She is certified as a mediator, trainer and mentor for court-referred cases for the state of Virginia. Susan’s dynamic style as a trainer encourages participation, insights and personal growth.
She earned a Master of Science in Conflict Resolution from George Mason University in 1988. Since that time, Susan has served as Executive Director of the National Conference on Peacemaking and Conflict Resolution (NCPCR), as Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Specialist for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), and as adjunct faculty at Georgetown University’s MBA program. She served for ten years on the Advisory Board of the Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (ICAR) at George Mason University. Since her initial mediation training in 1985, she has mediated many contract disputes, community issues and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) claims, and has worked on conflict resolution initiatives in the Middle East and Balkans.
